Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to make a pattern of their pet. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we've done

• Text and buttons meet AA color-contrast ratios, and text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content.
• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. The photo framing tool supports arrow keys and plus/minus to zoom.
• Images have text alternatives, and pages use proper headings and landmarks for screen readers.
• Status messages (like "your pattern is ready") are announced to screen readers.
• We respect "reduce motion" settings.
• Patterns include a black-and-white symbol chart and a high-contrast print option, and the chart PDF for apps lets you zoom on a tablet.

Known limitations

• The live pattern preview is an image; we describe its size, colors and stitch count in text next to it.
• Some colors in a pattern are close to each other by nature; every color has its own symbol so you never need to tell colors apart by eye.
