Puppies and kittens change by the week — a pattern from their first photos is a lovely way to remember how tiny they were.

Young pets rarely sit still, so take lots of photos and pick the sharpest one:
Use the second line for a date or a phrase: "Home since 2026", "Gotcha day 10.12.26", "Welcome home" or "Our new baby". Keep it short — 18 characters for the name and 24 for the second line.
If you're giving it to someone else, a gift card lets them choose their favorite photo once their puppy or kitten has settled in — the code never expires. Or, if you already have a lovely photo, make the pattern yourself and include the shopping list so they can pick up the threads.
Patterns can be changed for free for 30 days. After that, a new photo makes a new pattern — some people stitch a "first year" pair: one at eight weeks, one at their first birthday.
The day a pet came home — many owners celebrate it like a birthday, especially for rescues whose real birthday isn't known.
Slight blur is fine at pattern size, but the eyes need to be reasonably sharp. Try a few photos in the free preview and pick the one that looks most like them.
