How we count
A DMC skein is 8 meters of six strands. With 2 strands on 14-count Aida, one skein covers about 1,785 stitches (a well-known stitchers' formula), and we round up.
Using another brand
Anchor and other brands have close equivalents. Our thread converter suggests the nearest match, but colors vary between brands, so check them side by side if you can.
