How to read your chart
Each square is one cross stitch; the symbol tells you which DMC thread to use (see the thread key). Bold lines mark every 10 stitches and the arrows point to the center, where most stitchers start.
- One square = one cross stitch. The symbol in the square tells you which thread to use — find it in the thread key.
- Bold lines every 10 squares make counting easy. The numbers along the edges count stitches across the whole design.
- Arrows on the edges point to the center. Fold your fabric in half both ways to find its center and start there.
- Blank squares are left unstitched so the fabric shows.
- Large patterns span several pages. The page map shows how they fit together, and the shaded edge on each page repeats a couple of rows from the next page so you don't lose your place.
